Water Project May Cause Overnight Traffic Disruptions This Week
Upgrades to water systems at the intersection of SW Vermont Street and SW 45th Avenue will require flaggers to assist with traffic control.

PORTLAND, OR — Water system infrastructure upgrades in Southwest Portland next week will require overnight traffic disruptions at the intersection of Southwest Vermont Street and Southwest 45th Avenue.
Crews will perform the necessary work between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. from June 21 to 24 — to minimize traffic impacts, according to the Portland Water Bureau.
Lane reductions will be required, but traffic will likely remain open in all directions, officials said. On Friday, June 22, and Saturday, June 23, the traffic signals at the intersection will be shut off. Drivers should expect flaggers to direct travel during those shutoffs.
