Waterfront Park Shooting Injures One, Police Search For Suspect

Just after 8 a.m. on Thursday, one man was shot in Waterfront Park by the Burnside Bridge. Portland Police are searching for the suspect.

PORTLAND, OR – One man was shot Thursday morning in Waterfront Park. Portland Police say that the suspect is on the run.

Offices responded just after 8 a.m. on Thursday to the area by Naito Parkway and the Burnside Bridge.

They found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police believe that the man, who they expect to be okay, was shot in the campsite just north of the bridge.

The victim was rushed to the hospital.

Police ask that anyone with information about the shooting call the police non-emergency line at 503-823-3333.
