- The Portland Winterhawks will host the 24th annual Teddy Bear Toss tonight on the ice during a matchup against the Seattle Thunderbirds. The team will attempt to break its all-time Teddy Toss record of over 16,000 when the game begins at 5:00 p.m. at the Memorial Coliseum. (Fox 12 Oregon)
- Nearly 240 tuba players will gather near Pioneer Courthouse Square this afternoon for Portland's 31st annual Tuba Christmas. Stop by the square from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to hear a concert of holiday classics performed by brass players from around the city. (Oregon Public Broadcasting)
- Two people have been charged in the death of 18-year-old Portland resident Donavinh Saelee, who was shot in a Southeast Portland elementary school parking lot on Aug. 7, 2021. Zachery Retonong, 21, and Winkel Sienson Walter, 19, face charges of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and first-degree robbery. (OregonLive)
