Montco Community College Among Nation's 'Best For Vets' Colleges
Montgomery County Community College was among the nation's leaders in services, student support, and outcomes for veterans.

BLUE BELL, PA — Montgomery County Community College has been honored with a national level distinction this week as it was once again named one of America's "Best for Vets" colleges by the armed forces outlet Military Times.
Montco was ranked 4th in Pennsylvania, 12th in the mid-Atlantic, and 144th in the nation for its commitment to and services for veterans and military-connected students.
“Montgomery County Community College is proud to serve those who have served our country,” Christopher Weaver, the school's manager of Veteran Services, said in a statement. “We work diligently to provide high-quality education, personalized support and a welcoming, friendly environment for veterans, service members, and their families. We will continue to strengthen and grow our programs to meet their needs."

At both the Pottstown and Blue Bell campuses, Montco offers services, guidance, and connections to other veteran peers.
Services include assistance with VA educational benefits, VA work-study opportunities, priority course registration, free academic coaching, networking events, and more.

There is also a dedicated enrollment specialist for military-connected students.
The Military Times study analyzed academic quality, support services, affordability, and graduation and employment outcomes for veterans.
The school said they have a total of 201 military-connected students and 122 veterans.
