Sorg has been the mayor of Ambler since she was elected the first female leader of the borough in 2014.
She's also served as the Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds since 2016.
Dougherty, meanwhile, is a real estate agent and a resident of the borough for nearly 50 years. A graduate of Temple University with a degree in community and regional planning, she has previously served as a council member, tax collector, and Ambler Main Street manager.
Dougherty is simultaneously running for tax collector in Ambler against Democrat Jennifer Stomsky, who drew national ire over her calls for political violence following the killing of Charlie Kirk.
