'Montco 2050,' County's New Comprehensive Plan, To Be Unveiled At Ambler Theater
The special "milestone" event will introduce the public to the county's vision for the future.

AMBLER, PA — Montgomery County's Planning Commission will introduce the public to their new draft comprehensive plan, a holistic view of goals and the vision for the future of the county and its infrastructure over the next 25 years, at a special event later this month.
The comprehensive plan's unveiling will be held at the Ambler Theater on Sept. 30 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The event will also celebrate the planning commission's 75th birthday.

Officials have dubbed it "Montco 2050: A Comprehensive Plan for a Changing World."
Montgomery County's comprehensive plans in the past have focused on transit-oriented development, sustainable connections between towns like trails and bike paths, and sustainable developments that promote both connectivity and the local economy.

The presentation will include "the draft goals, the plan’s proposed vision, and...our recommendations for the future," the planning commission said, labeling it a "milestone."
The Ambler Theater is located on 108 East Butler Avenue.
