Police Issue Warning After Dog-Related Incidents In Lower Gwynedd

Off leash dogs have become an issue for some residents in the local area.

LOWER GWYNEDD, PA — Numerous incidents involving off-leash dogs in Lower Gwynedd Township have spurred police to issue a notice to the public.

Police said several complaints were made about dogs not just off leash, but running free far from the owners and out of sight.

"Just a reminder that all dogs must be kept under the control of their owners at all times, whether you are on your property or in a public park," police said in a statement. "Pennsylvania and Lower Gwynedd Township dog laws require dogs to be on leash and under control when in public. When on private property, dogs must be kept on the property and not allowed to run loose."
