Young Lower Gwynedd Actress Performs in “The Little Mermaid"

Cecelia Kent of Lower Gwynedd, PA is diving ‘Under the Sea’ on the Walnut Mainstage as part of the ensemble of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, playing now through January 2, 2022.

Based on the beloved Hans Christian Andersen story and the classic film, Disney’s The Little Mermaid is the hauntingly beautiful story of Ariel, who dreams of finding her own way in the world above the sea. Featuring unforgettable songs such as "Under the Sea," "Kiss the Girl" and "Part of Your World," Disney’s The Little Mermaid promises to be one of the most spectacular productions ever staged at the Walnut!

Kent is a student at Ancillae-Assumpta Academy and participates in the Metropolitan Ballet Company in Jenkintown. Disney’s The Little Mermaid marks a return to the Walnut for Kent, after previously appearing in Shrek The Musical in 2019.

When not performing, Kent also loves rowing as a member of the Whitemarsh Boat Club rowing program and playing field hockey.
