100% Renewable

Article is based on the efforts towards 100% renewable energy for the state of Pennsylvania

The Environment can live just fine without us, but can we live without the environment?
The pollution we suffer from today, due to dirty energy, should be a thing of the past. For decades, Pennsylvania's addiction to dirty fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gas has left a trail of destruction across our state, country, and world. We have the power to eliminate dirty energy and replace it with clean energy by harnessing abundant energy from the sun, the wind, and the tides. Today, we can harness this power more efficiently and cheaply than ever before.
I have relatives in Philadelphia that suffer from serious respiratory illnesses due to polluted, and unhealthy air. I foresee a future with a lower rate of illnesses due to unclean air and one of the ways to achieve this to turn to a 100% renewable energy system. We’re already seeing the possibilities for healthier communities and a livable future through renewable energy. Some of Pennsylvania’s largest cities such as Philadelphia, Allentown, and Pittsburgh are already committed to going 100% renewable. Legislation was introduced this past April in both the State House and State Senate, and these bills will be reintroduced in the new PA legislative session starting in January. I hope that others will follow Rep. Chris Rabb and add their name to the proposal.
