2 Sought After Robbing Man With Autism In Philadelphia: Police

Police said a man and woman stole $200 from a man with autism after telling him to withdraw money from an ATM. They then took his wallet.

PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia Police said a man with autism was robbed last week by a man and a woman in Germantown.

The incident took place at about 7:15 a.m. Jan. 24 at 240 W. Chelten Ave.

Police said the victim was waiting for the bus when a man and woman approached him.

The man, while talking with the victim, told him to take out money from an ATM.

Police said the man, woman, and victim went into a store near the bus stop, and the victim withdrew $200.

The man took the $200, then when the three went outside, the man took the victim's wallet, as well, according to authorities.

Police said the man and woman were last seen getting on the No. 26 SEPTA bus and leaving the location.

The suspect is a black man with a medium build who was wearing a red jacket and black pants.

Police described the woman as black with a medium build. She was wearing a black coat.
