Back to School Health & Wellness

Back to School

Moms of Black Sons (MOBS) Move Philly has partnered with Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) to host a Back to School Health and Wellness Day focused on removing some of the barriers that prevent success and wellness facing our young men. This event will assist one hundred young men between the ages of 13-18 with physical exams for the academic school year. Feeling physically and mentally prepared for school is important as this event will also include workshops on topics like, bullying, peer pressure and stress management. Students will be required to bring appropriate school required forms for physical exams and an open mind for learning skills that will help them become academically effective in the upcoming school year. Lunch will be provided by PCOM. If there are any dietary restrictions, please indicate on the registration form. Students will also receive school supplies and a voucher for a free haircut from a local barber sponsor. To learn more about MOBS Move Philly, please visit our website: mobsmovephilly.org.
