Dad Shoots Son During Argument In East Mt Airy: Reports

A father shot his 24-year-old son during an argument Saturday night in East Mt. Airy, according to reports.

EAST MOUNT AIRY, PHILADELPHIA — A man is recovering after being shot, allegedly by his own father, over the weekend in Philadelphia.

The shooting occurred at about 8 a.m. Saturday on the 200 block of East Phil Ellena Street in East Mt. Airy, according to Action News.

Police told NBC10 that the son, 24, and father, 67, got into an argument, which led the father to pull out a gun and shoot his son three times.

The son was initially listed in critical condition, but was upgraded to stable condition, and the father was taken into custody, according to Fox 29.
