Man Wanted For Killing 3 People Shot, Killed By Philly Police
A man sought for a deadly shooting was shot and killed by police after authorities said he shot at officers in East Mt. Airy.
PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia Police shot and killed a man they were searching for in connection with a quadruple shooting that killed three people early Monday morning.
According to police, officers were called just before 5 a.m. to the 6100 block of Shelbourne Street where they found four people shot.
Three of those victims were pronounced dead and one was taken to a hospital, where they are in critical but stable condition, police said.

Investigators learned that a family member of the victims was the shooter, and officers around 7 a.m. found a vehicle involved with the suspect in the area of East Phil Ellena and Ross streets in East Mount Airy, police said.
Police stopped the vehicle, but that's when police said the suspect shot at officers.

The officers fired back, striking the suspect, who was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.
Police said the driver of the vehicle mentioned above is in police custody for questioning.
It's unclear if the driver had any role in the killings.
Police did not release details on the victims' or the suspect's identities.
