Philadelphia Gets Meager Snow Accumulation After Ominous Forecast
How close did the city come to the 6 to 10 predicted inches?

With tons of snow predicted for Thursday, the city enacted a snow emergency and prompted nearby municipalities to do the same.
But lat Thursday morning, the public quickly realized the 6 to 10 inches of snow predicted to slam the region was not in the cards.
According to the National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, New Jersey, Philadelphia saw just 2.8 inches of snow as of 10:09 a.m. Thursday, a far cry from the forecasted totals.
