2. First Day of School for Seneca Valley

Are your backpacks ready? Seneca Valley students head back to class Wednesday, Aug. 28.

3. Cranberry Board of Supervisors Meeting

Find out in person what’s going on in township government. Cranberry’s board of supervisors will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29 inside council chambers at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center.

4. Dots and Doodles Grand Opening

Dots and Doodles Art Studio, located at 10925 Perry Highway, Wexford, will celebrate its grad opening at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31 with art, food and fun. The studio offers art classes, birthday parties, open studio hours and more for tots, teens and adults.

5. Living Dead Festival in Evans City

Coinciding with the opening of the new Living Dead Museum and Giftshop, the Living Dead Festival will be held Friday, Aug. 30 and Saturday, Aug. 31 in Evans City’s EDCO Park.

The event will feature celebrity guest signing sessions, including meet and greets with Night of the Living Dead actors Judith O’Dea and Russ Streiner.
