Updated Forecast: Snow, Sleet, Freezing Rain Expected in Cranberry Area
The National Weather Service is predicting 1-2 inches of snow.
Just when you thought all the snow had melted, along comes another winter weather advisory.
The National Weather Service said the advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Wednesday for Allegheny, Butler, Beaver and surrounding areas.
Here is the latest forecast.
- Overnight: Snow, mainly after midnight. Low around 28. North wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent Total nighttime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
- Wednesday: Snow, freezing rain, and sleet before noon, then a chance of sleet between noon and 1 p.m. High near 36. Light and variable wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Hazardous travel conditions are predicted because of the snow, sleet and ice.
