30th Annual Haverford Township Day: What You Need To Know

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — The 30th Annual Haverford Township Day is this weekend and promises a full day of family fun.

Events kick off at 8:30 a.m. with a 5K race, then music begins at 9 a.m. Register for the 5K online here.

Registration for the 5K is $30, and runners step off from the Haverford Community Recreation & Environmental Center. Runners will traverse the Pennsy Trail.

Newspaper Taxi will perform on the Skatium Stage from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., then Philadelphia Heart & Soul will perform from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Bill Whitney will perform on the Brookline Stage from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to the township website.

Janine Kelly will provide entertainment for kids from noon to 1 p.m., then The Jellybricks will play from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Saktium area will host stilt walker Dick Rainer, juggler Jonathan Perry, and a caricature artist from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Silly Reba will be making balloon animals from noon to 3 p.m., and Nancy the Clown will be painting faces at the same time.

The Skatium will host a free skate from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Brookline Boulevard will feature children's rides, such as a moon bounce and a train, from noon to 3:30 p.m., and magician Jay turner will perform in that area from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The Haverford High School Orchestra will perform at the Brookline Fire House from noon to 12:45 p.m.

And the De La Salle Orchestra will perform big band music from noon to 4 p.m. on the Yale Road Stage.

In the event of inclement weather, Haverford Township Day will be held Sunday.
