Body Found In Delco Creek Over Thanksgiving Weekend: Police

The body of a man, about 30 to 40 years old, was found in a Delaware County creek over the Thanksgiving weekend, according to local police.

UPPER CHICHESTER, PA — A man's body was found in a Delaware County creek over the holiday weekend, and authorities are looking to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.

The body was found at about 5 p.m. Saturday in Marcus Hook Creek behind Stanley Court in Upper Chichester Township, police said.

Officers with the Upper Chichester Township Police Department were called to the area for a report of a possible dead person in the creek, and found a white man between 30 and 40 years old lying on his back in the creek.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Authorities have not identified the man as of Tuesday and are working to determine what happened to cause his death.

Upper Chichester Police are asking anyone in the area who may have seen any suspicious activity or who has information related to this incident to contact them.
