Live Music, Beer Garden, Tributes, More At 2022 Haverford First Fest

This year's Haverford First Fest will feature live music, a beer garden, tribute to first responders, and an antique fire engine, and more.

HAVERTOWN, PA — Haverford First Fest is all set for Saturday in Havertown and will bring live music, food, beer, kids fun, and much more.

The free event will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday on two stages.

The Outdoor Stage is at 50 E. Eagle Road and the Indoor Stage is at 4 E. Eagle Road.

A full schedule of performances is below.

In addition to music, food, vendors, and more, the day will feature a tribute to first responders to commemorate the 21st anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States.

Firefighters, police, military, medical, EMS and teachers will be honored during the event.

And new this year is an antique fire engine that will be on display.

The Oakmont Fire Company will display the recently reacquired 1925 American LaFrance Oakmont Fire Co. #1 fire engine, one of the first fire trucks in Havertown.

There will be a Tiki Bar Beer Garden, offering beer and seltzers for sale next to the stage on East Hathaway Lane. Outside alcohol is not permitted to be brought in. Alcohol is not permitted onto the field or elsewhere within the school property.

Festival goers are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets.

The event will be held rain or shine.

Live performances will be streamed live on Facebook and YouTube for those who cannot attend.

Indoor Stage

  • 1 p.m. — Jeni Englund - From basement juke box sing alongs to classical vocal training, Jeni grew up with music in mind. After saving up money modeling in Japan, Italy and the states, she was able to move from Wisconsin to New York City to study musical theatre. This led to performances in off-Broadway and Cabaret shows. Craving more control over her content, she started a folk rock band and found her path as a singer/songwriter, gigged across Europe and the states, recorded several albums and now performs locally with 3rowback! She also teaches music to students in Havertown and virtually across Pennsylvania.
  • 1:30 p.m. — Annabelle Soley is a singer-songwriter at Haverford High School who has been playing guitar since she was 10 years old, Annabelle performs anything from Folk to Pop. Annabelle loves her acoustic guitar and performing before her family and friends.
  • 2 p.m. — Michael Tearson & Co-Conspirators - Michael Tearson is best known for 55 years of album rock radio from the form's beginning. Before that he was a folk singer, so the circle is complete. Bill Fergusson plays mandolin and Mike Hargrave plays bass. We do Americana songs and some other pecularities. Michael released an album Stuff That Works in 2011 and a follow-up EP Ruby's Greatest Hit in 2013.   • 2:30 p.m. — JP Bohannon - Singer-songwriter, J.P. Bohannon was a founding member of the Irish folk band, Irish Mist and has been playing in the area for over three decades. After leaving the Mist, he began his solo career, combining folk music with country, classic rock, and original songs to form his own particular Americana music. He plays steadily throughout the tri-state area. In early 2022, he played at the Tennessee Brewing Works in Nashville and in the spring, played two shows of original music at The Blarney Stone in New York City. Beside his music, J.P. Bohannon’s poetry and fiction have also appeared in journals and magazines throughout the U.S., the U.K. and Ireland.   • 3 p.m. — Jordan E.B. - Jordan E.B is a 21 year old singer/songwriter, graduate of Bonner And Prendie High School. Self-taught on the guitar, Jordan has been writing his own music for seven years and has had multiple singles and small projects, now combined into one playlist. His love for music came from pop hits that tap into people's emotions, and now he wants to make music that people can connect with on different levels in their own lives.
  • 3:30 p.m. — Taylor Ash - Taylor Ash is a local singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born and raised in the Philadelphia area. With a background in classical composition and performance, Taylor takes elements of film score, musical theater and modern pop music and interweaves them to create songs that tell stories. She recently released her debut Album “VIGNETTES” which can be found on all streaming platforms. Besides writing songs, Taylor also has a career in teaching, sound design and film score.   • 4 p.m. — Suzanne Lavine - Suzanne Lavine’s musical journey began in the 1980s as lead singer/songwriter/guitarist for the Hoboken, NJ-based band The Vines. After a break Lavine reconnected with her old bandmate Marc Seligman on bass, then augmenting with Ben Vaughn drummer Seth Baer, plus renowned singer-songwriter-musician-producer Cliff Hillis (Smash Palace, Starbelly, The Orchestra starring ELO former members, Patti Smyth), she created her own group known as The Legends. Armed with four new songs and a now-seasoned group with Cliff Hillis at the production helm, they headed to Hillis’s home studio The Hacienda, in Phoenixville, PA. The result? A new EP titled “Everything’s Alright”, with special guest LA-based singer-songwriter Kelley Ryan on background vocals in ‘Feel So Lucky’. Lavine’s new EP was released on April 1st in CD format and is available on streaming services worldwide.
  • 4:30 p.m. — Ava Pastore - AVA PASTORE is a 16 year old sophomore at Haverford High School. She is a singer/songwriter who picked up the ukelele during the pandemic and recently competed in the STAR competition at the Kelly Center.
  • 5 p.m. — Miss Nay & Mr Maas/Sharon and Cris Pastore - Both an original and cover acoustic band from Havertown, Sharon and Cris Pastore are Miss Nay & Mr. Maas, and have been writing, performing and producing music together for over 15 years. Their original music has an edgy pop-rock sound with infectious hooks and lyrical depth, infused with R & B soul, blues and funk grooves. Their sound falls into the alternative indie genre, influenced by Alanis Morrisette, Kelly Clarkson, and Indigo Girls, interwoven with crunchy rhythms reminiscent of the 90’s grunge scene.   • 5:30 p.m. — PEEKS! - PEEKS! is a Multidimensional singer/songwriter from Havertown. She takes inspiration from soul, pop, and country artists.
