LSFD Warns of Road Flooding Dangers

Due to the the National Weather Service's Flood Advisory issued early Friday, the Lower Southampton Township Fire Department is warning residents of potential hazards. 

"Heavy rain is expected in our area today into tomorrow. 

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Move to higher ground. 

A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated or ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. 

Updates will be posted to the LSFD Facebook and Twitter accounts for the duration of this event, with only significant updates or changes being sent through Nixle," it said.
