Unlocked Cars Provide Bonanza for Thieves

Items were missing from several cars Wednesday morning.

Middletown Township Police did not come right out and say folks should lock their cars, but the department's most recent report makes it clear. 
In all of the following incidents the cars were unlocked:
* Be between 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, someone took change and Sesame Place season passes from a 2011 Honda Pilot parked on Tulip Tree Road. Value: $455.
* Between 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, someone took loose change from a 2011 Nissan  parked on Tweed Road.
* Between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday someone to an iPod Shuffle from a car parked on Crestwood Road. Value: $100. 
* Sometime after 9:30 p.m. Monday someone took a wallet and credit cards fromr a 2002 Kia that was parked on Cobalt Ridge Drive South.
* Sometime overnight Tuesday into Wednesday someone took $15 in change and a case of beer from a 2012 Dodge parked on Tulip Tree Road.
* Sometime overnight Tuesday into Wednesday someone took about $15 in change from a 2004 Ford parked on Twin Oak Drive.
Total of the night's haul: $585 plus credit cards.
