Trinh Nguyen Was Facing Eviction Prior To Newtown Shootings: Report
A court had ruled that Trinh Nguyen owed her former sister-in-law $11,500 in rent on her home, according to the Bucks County Courier Times.

NEWTOWN, PA — A Newtown mom accused of shooting her two sons Monday morning was facing eviction Tuesday, a new report details.
The Bucks County Courier Times found documents in the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas showing the family had been ordered to leave their home by Tuesday for failure to pay $11,500 owed in rent.
Trinh Nguyen had shared the home with her now ex-husband Ed Tini since 2012, the newspaper said. He moved out in June and Nguyen's lease was terminated in September; Tini's sister, Corinna Tini-Melchiondo, shared the other half of the duplex the family lived in and owned the home, according to the Courier Times' findings.

Police were called to the home around 7 a.m. Monday morning to find Nguyen had fled the scene after trying to shoot at a neighbor, Tini-Melchiondo's 22-year-old son Gianni Melchiondo, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.
Law enforcement then entered the home to find Nguyen's sons, ages 9 and 13, in their beds with gunshots to their heads. They were brought to St. Mary Medical Center and are not expected to recover.

Nguyen was arrested at the Washington Crossing United Methodist Church around 11:30 a.m., and was also brought to the hospital as she was suspected to be under the influence of drugs, police said.
"We stand in solidarity with our community today at the news of this tragic event that has taken place," the church wrote online.
Nguyen has been charged with four counts of felony attempted homicide and one count of possessing an instrument of crime.
"Both children will give the gift of life to others, as their organs will be transplanted," Weintraub said in a news conference. "Once that occurs, we will upgrade these charges to two counts of homicide."
The boys were students of Council Rock School District and are being deeply mourned.
"When these types of tragic events occur in our community, it’s important that we pull together to support each other," Acting Superintendent of Schools Susan Elliott wrote to families Monday night. "I humbly ask you to keep the family, our students, our staff, and our community in your thoughts and prayers."
The Washington Crossing United Methodist Church at 1895 Wrightstown Road is holding a prayer service for the family on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
