Details Emerge On McCandless Shooting That Left Two Dead

A husband and wife died in Wednesday's shooting in the normally quiet suburban Pittsburgh community.

McCANDLESS, PA — More details have emerged on the two people discovered shot near a dumpster in the back of The Club At North Hills Apartment Homes on Duncan Avenue. Both people died from their injuries.

The male victim, 23, was found dead at the scene. He was identified as the husband of the woman who also died, Molly Beardsley, 25, of Allison Park.

Beardsley's death has been ruled a suicide by the county medical examiner's office.

The husband's name has not been released.

Allegheny County Police said Thursday that no one else was involved in the shooting and there is no danger to the community.
