The Superintendent's Newcomers' Coffee will be held at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29 in the CAO Board Room.
3. Conversation Salon at Northland Public Library
What’s the buzz this month? Join Northland Public Library at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28 for lively, informal conversation on anything and everything that may be on your mind from politics, sensitive issues and popular culture. No reservation is required.

4. Dots and Doodles Grand Opening
Dots and Doodles Art Studio, located at 10925 Perry Highway, Wexford, will celebrate its grad opening at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31 with art, food and fun. The studio offers art classes, birthday parties, open studio hours and more for tots, teens and adults.
5. Guided Kayak Tour at North Park Lake
Explore nature in a kayak and receive paddling instructions courtesy of L.L. Bean at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 1 at the North Park Lake. The cost is $20 per person. Children must be at least 8 years old to participate.
