There also will be cannon-firing, along with local and nationally touring acts across three stages in Point State Park, the North Shore Great Lawn and Liberty Avenue. The day’s main attraction (fireworks, of course, what else were you thinking?) will begin at 9:35pm. Tune in to 100.1 FM KDKA for a live broadcast of a 25-minute fireworks soundtrack from J the DJ paying tribute to Independence Day.
Viewers can watch the celebration from home live on WPXI-TV.
At the Carnegie Science Center on the North Shore, you can participate in festivities from 6 p.m-11 p.m. Tickets include a reserved viewing area for the fireworks show across the river, a movie and popcorn in The Rangos Giant Cinema, a Fourth of July show in the planetarium, live entertainment, cash bar and four floors of exhibits.
The Gateway Clipper Fleet will feature an Independence Day Buffet, music, dancing and a view of the fireworks! You also can go on a one-hour Fireworks Cruise for the best view in the city to enjoy the sights and sounds.
