Ross Commissioners: Community Day Likely to Return to a Saturday
Turnout for 2013 Ross Community Day, which was held on a Sunday, was less than organizers had hoped for.
When selecting the date for the 2014 Ross Community Day, several commissioners last weel indicated they would opt for a Saturday, rather than a Sunday.
"I thought it was a great event," said commissioner Dan DeMarco said of this year's celebration. "But I heard from several people whom said they had wished it had been on a Saturday, instead of a Sunday, which was a school night."
"We knew this year was going to be a challenge," said commissioner Lana Mazur. "Unfortunately, the site used to launch the fireworks wasn't available on the Saturday we wanted, so we agreed to try it on a Sunday."
