Ross Restaurant To Prepare 1,000 Thanksgiving Meals For Needy
The popular eatery is teaming with a Pittsburgh marketing company and a pharmacy for the "Yinzgiving" event.
ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — It's called Yinzgiving and it's becoming a Thanksgiving tradition in Pittsburgh. What began as former Pittsburgh Steeler JuJu Smith-Schuster's Thanksgiving meal distribution program has now grown into its fourth year, serving the needy with warm, delicious Thanksgiving meals.
The local Dive Bar & Grille restaurant chain - in collaboration with marketing company Ten Four Social and Acorx Pharmacy - plans to prepare and distribute 1,000 meals for the holiday.
"We were driven by a simple yet powerful notion," the Yinzgiving website states. "No one should be deprived of a traditional Thanksgiving meal because of circumstances beyond their control. Especially during a time when gratitude and giving back to the community are more important than ever."
