Emergency personnel respond to one-vehicle crash in Trappe

Injuries reported

One man was taken to Reading Trauma Center as precaution following a one-vehicle crash at West Fifth Avenue and Borough Line Road in Trappe, Thursday afternoon, according to David Sauls of the Trappe EMS.

Responding to an e-mail inquiry, Sauls stated that the car hit a tree, and "a laceration above the eye" was the "only obvious injury."

The scene was cleared before 4:30 p.m. Trappe EMS and Fire Company as well as the Pennsylvania State Police responded to the scene.

Fire police had blocked access to Borough Line Road from Third Avenue in Trappe, and directed traffic around the scene at West Fifth Avenue.

One Borough Line Road resident, who did not witness the crash, remarked that crashes have previously occurred in that spot.
