Have you ever felt that getting an answer to your question or problem is more of a hassle than the initial quandary?
By the time you press "1" for this and "2" for that, get re-directed and repeat your issue an unholy amount of times, you find a good chunk of time and sanity have been spent.
Perkiomen Valley School District aims to cut out the middle man and take you straight to the top with the Superintendent's Roundtable Discussions, held every other month at .

About a dozen members of the community (who may or may not have children in the district's schools) will meet with Superintendent Dr. Clifford Rogers and members of the district's administrative team and "share concerns, ideas or suggestions," according to the district's website. The next meeting will be held Wednesday, March 16, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.; after that, the next discussion will be held, Wednesday, May 18. Participants can anonymously write questions on index cards, and once they are collected, Rogers will read each one aloud and discuss the answers.

•What are the plans for the Trappe Building?
•How are students chosen for gifted learning?
•How are bus routes chosen?
•What is the plan for South Elementary School? Has the facility committee made any recommendations?
•How is the budget deficit going to affect district programs (music, athletic, etc.)?
•How do you hold teachers accountable for their students’ grades?
•Will field trips be offered due to budget cuts?
•What are ways to get involved in the schools and at the district level?
•Why is there such wide variability in the amount of homework that is assigned? Is there a district homework policy?
•How is student placement handled in going from grade to grade?
•Are we de-tracking students at the high school level?
•How can we reduce behavioral problems on our school buses?
•What is the status of the middle school sports program?
Anyone interested in participating in upcoming discussions should e-mail School and Community Engagement Manager Michelle Brown at mbrown@pvsd.org with your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, which Perkiomen Valley schools your children attend (if applicable) and which date you want to attend.
