Old Skippack Fire Company Now an Artist's Paradise

Jennifer Elwell, of Harleysville, the mother of two young daughters, hopes to get Perkiomen Valley residents to be a little more creative with their lives. According to an article in the Pottstown Mercury, Elwell began renovating the space that formerly housed the in December 2011.

Painting With a Twist, 1240 Bridge Road (Route 113), opened on Feb. 2. Leasing the former firehouse space, and converting it into two classrooms with a reception area and restrooms.

The article said that Elwell got the idea while in her native New Orleans. She is now part of a business with 60 nationwide locations.
