The employees will be hired seasonally through the PVSD Operations Department. The positions are only for students or graduates of PVSD.

“Basically, the types of duties they’d be involved in would be cleaning the school buildings and getting them prepped for the coming school year,” said Jessica Lester, community engagement manager for PVSD. “(Students would work on) things like wiping down lockers, cleaning floors and walls.”

Lester said that students need not have a vast pervious experience in the field. They just need “a willingness to work,” she said.

Employees will be paid $9 per hour and will work from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each weekday.

Completed applications must be into the PVSD Human Resources Department by May 18 for consideration. Students can find applications here attached to this article, or on the PVSD website under Employment Opportunities.
