Canonsburg Woman Arrested for Solvents in Peters

The woman—arrested for the fourth time—was found unconscious by Peters police in McDowell Shops.

Arrested for the fourth time by , a North Strabane woman who was charged three previous times last year for inhaling solvents while behind the wheel, was found unconscious in her car at the McDowell Shops, according to the Observer-Reporter. 

On Sunday morning, Christine Ann Keller, 50, of 428 Mary Lane, Canonsburg, regained consciousness, but her speech was slurred and she was perspiring, the newspaper reports. 

Police said they found multiple cans of Blast Away Multi-Purpose Duster in her vehicle, according to the O-R.

Keller was taken to Washington County Jail on a detainer through the county’s adult probation department, according to online court dockets.

Court dockets show Keller entered a guilty plea in December to three first driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs charges.

She was sentenced to the Intermediate Punishment Program for six months with the first 60 days on electronic home monitoring. Keller was fined $3,000 and was ordered to have a drug and alcohol evaluation and any recommended treatment. Her driver’s license was suspended, court dockets show.

On Nov. 27, Keller was found in the Washington Mall parking lot in South Strabane Township and tested positive for a solvent. Several months earlier, on May 13, she was found outside Office Max, also in South Strabane Township, and tested positive for a solvent. On Sept. 7, following a traffic stop on Route 19 in South Strabane Township, she was charged after testing positive for a solvent, according to the newspaper.
