Washington Area Humane Society Needs Your Help

Want to save the lives of hundreds of local animals? Take 30 seconds to vote daily for the shelter and its new challenge!

The Washington Area Humane Society needs your vote!

Today through April 16, you can vote daily to help ensure the shelter's entry into the ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge, saving the lives of hundreds of local animals.

In its third year, the challenge saved 8,977 cats and dogs in 2011. It's a competition that inspires shelters and their communities to come up with innovative ways to save at least 300 more animals within a three-month period. And, the shelter could win between $5,000 and $125,000.
