1 Dead, 1 Injured In Apartment Fire: Pittsburgh Authorities
Emergency management officials were on site Tuesday working with building management to help displaced residents.
PITTSBURGH, PA — One person died and another was injured in connection with an apartment fire Tuesday night in the Brighton Heights neighborhood, authorities said.
Firefighters responded at 8:15 p.m. to the blaze in the 1500 block of Letort Street, according to authorities, who said a female was extricated from a unit in cardiac arrest and pronounced dead at the scene. A male also suffered a wrist laceration, Pittsburgh Public Safety said in a post on X.
Fire officials will investigate the cause, according to authorities, who said emergency management officials were on site Tuesday working with building management to help displaced residents find temporary accommodations.
