1 Dead In Broad Daylight Pittsburgh Shooting

A person was killed in public on a Pittsburgh street Thursday. Get the details here.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A man died Thursday after being shot in the Hill District.

The shooting occurred around 6:50 p.m. on the 600 block of Perry Street, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety officials. Police responded to a three-round Shotspotter alert.

First responders found the victim with at least one gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead there.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim as Gerald Bogan, 23, of East Liberty.

City violent crime unit detectives are investigating the incident. As of Friday morning, no suspects have been arrested or identified.
