1 Injured In Officer-Involved Shooting Near Washington County Bar

McDONALD, PA — One person was injured Friday night in an officer-involved shooting that occurred near a Washington County bar, according to police and a report.

In a news release, Pennsylvania State Police said the shooting took place around 9 p.m. at Michael's Tavern, located at 341 E. Lincoln Ave. in McDonald.

According to a WTAE report citing emergency dispatchers, a man was injured in the shooting and was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital.

Several police vehicles, including a Pennsylvania State Police car, were at the scene Friday night, WTAE reported. Yellow police tape was seen blocking part of the sidewalk in front of the bar and restaurant.

No officers were injured in the shooting, according to police.

State police said one person was taken into custody, and there is no ongoing threat to the community.

The incident remains under investigation.
