1 Killed, 2 Injured In Shooting At Baby Shower In Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA — One person was killed and two were injured Saturday evening during a shooting at a baby shower, Pittsburgh authorities said.

The shooting happened at a venue on Broadhead Fording Road, according to a tweet by Pittsburgh Public Safety. Callers told police there were six to seven shots fired.

The shooting was reported about 6:30 p.m. and happened in the Fairywood neighborhood, KDKA.com reported.

Officials said did not release any information about the victims except to say the person who died was a male.

One of the injured people was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and the second, who was found at a nearby home, was stable, authorities said.

The Pittsburgh Police Violent Crimes Unit is investigating.
