Pittsburgh Winter Storm: Snow Accumulation Estimates Rise
A winter storm is expected to hit Pittsburgh on New Year's Eve. Patch provides the latest details.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Travel could be difficult in Pittsburgh and throughout Western Pennsylvania on New Year's Eve as a winter storm is expected to slam into the city as revelers prepare to ring in 2026.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the region from 1 p.m. Wednesday until 10 a.m. on New Year's Day.
The weather service earlier on Tuesday predicted the area would receive between two and four inches of accumulation. That estimate has been adjusted upward to between three and five inches.
