$1 Million Winning Lottery Ticket Sold In Pittsburgh Area

PITTSBURGH, PA — With the Poweball jackpot climbing to an estimated $1.7 billion value ahead of Saturday’s drawing, the Pennsylvania Lottery announced a $1 million prize from a ticket from the Sept. 3 drawing was sold near Pittsburgh.
Center Independent Oil at 1980 Painters Run Road in Scott Township sold the winning ticket. The ticket matched five of the five white balls drawn, 16-29-61-69, to win $1 million. The retailer will earn a $5,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
Another Western Pennsylvania Powerball player won $100,000. That ticket was sold at the Giant Eagle on Grove City Road in Slippery Rock., Butler County.

More than 314,100 other PA Lottery Powerball tickets won prizes of various amounts in both drawings, including more than 64,600 tickets purchased with Power Play and more than 32,200 tickets purchased with Double Play.
The current estimated Powerball jackpot of $1.7 billion ranks as the third-largest U.S. lottery jackpot and third-largest Powerball jackpot. The Powerball jackpot has surpassed the $1 billion mark six times in the game’s history, including the world record $2.04 billion won in 2022, the $1.765 billion
jackpot won in 2023 and the current jackpot prize.
