2 Base Jumpers Leap From Downtown Pittsburgh Skyscraper

PITTSBURGH, PA — Police are searching for two individuals who trespassed into a 40-story Downtown building, made their way to the roof and jumped off. They descended via parachutes.

The incident occurred at April 9 at approximately 4:45 a.m. on April 9 at 1 PPG Place near Stanwix Street and Third Avenue.

Closed circuit TV footage captured the pair getting into a vehicle and leave the scene shortly after jumping.

Detectives from the Downtown Public Safety Center are actively investigating.
