2 Dead In Pittsburgh-Area Murder-Suicide

BUTLER COUNTY, PA — Two people were discovered dead Wednesday in what police believe to be a murder-suicide.

The Butler City Police Department said Thursday a man and a woman were found dead in a residence on Cottage Hill Avenue shortly before 4 p.m.

"The detectives conducted their investigation and preliminarily believe this was a homicide and then suicide situation," Butler Police Chief Bob O'Neill said in a statement.

The man and the woman were both 66. Their identities have not yet been revealed.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
