2 People Shot In Pittsburgh-Area Bar

PITTSBURGH, PA — Two people were shot in a bar in McKeesport Thursday night, authorities said.

The Allegheny County Police Department's homicide unit responded to a request for assistance after county 911 was notified of a shooting inside of the Beer Barrel on 5th Avenue. First responders found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.

The man is in critical condition and the woman is in critical but stable condition at area hospitals. Detectives are initiating the investigation.

It's unclear what led to the shootings. A suspect has not been identified.
