PITTSBURGH, PA — Two retailers in the Pittsburgh area sold Powerball tickets each worth $100,000, for the Saturday Sept. 6 drawing. Another business in Lackwanna County also sold a winning ticket for that amount.

The winning tickets in Allegheny County were sold at the Giant Eagle in McCandless and the GetGo in Richland. Each will receive $500 for selling the winners.

The winning tickets were sold leading up to the 42nd draw in this historic Powerball jackpot run, which ended when two jackpot-winning tickets were sold in Missouri and Texas. Those tickets will split the jackpot of $1.787 billion ($820.6 million cash); the second-largest Powerball® jackpot and second-largest U.S. lottery jackpot.
