PITTSBURGH, PA — One new coronavirus death and 218 new coronavirus cases were reported Monday in Allegheny County, health officials said. That's up from 127 cases reported Sunday and 150 on Saturday.

Of the county's 3,775 total cases, there were four new hospitalizations, officials said.

In the newest cases, ages range from 9 months to 95 years old with the median age being 31.

The positive test rate remains above 10 percent for the month, officials said.

Eleven percent of the COVID-19 cases in Allegheny County are among healthcare workers.

The state reported 450 additional positive cases on Monday, bringing the statewide total to 90,304. The state's death count stands at 6,754.

Mask wearing is now required in all businesses and whenever leaving home. "Consistent mask-wearing is critical to preventing the spread of COVID-19," state health officials have said.
