2nd Pittsburgh Grocery Chain To Aid Recent Storm Victims

Another supermarket chain will be offering a discount this weekend to benefit those impacted by Tuesday's severe storms in Pittsburgh.

PITTSBURGH, PA — In response to Tuesday's severe storms that knocked out power ariund the area for days and spoiled food for hundreds of thousands of people, a second supermarket chain will offer a 15 percent discount for shoppers on Sunday.

Kuhn's Markets said the only items excluded in the discount are milk, alcohol and tobacco. A reward card is needed to get the discount.

The 15 percent off deal can only be used once per customer.

Kuhn's Pittsburgh locations include Ross, Banksville, Bellevue, McCandless and Allison Park.

Giant Eagle announced on Thursday that the same 15 percent discount will be available at all of its Giant Eagle and Market District stores in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Washington, Westmoreland, Greene, and Indiana counties.
