3 Slain PA Police Officers, Gunman Identified
Here's the most recent information on the three police officers who were shot to death in York on Wednesday.

YORK COUNTY, PA — Identities of the the officers slain in an ambush on Wednesday have been revealed, as has the name of the gunman killed by police.
At a news conference on Thursday, York County District Attorney Tim Barker identified the officers as:
- Detective Sgt. Cody Becker
- Detective Isaiah Emenheiser
- Detective Mark Baker
All three worked for the Northern York County Regional Police Department. Another officer from that department was wounded and is being treated at WellSpan York Hospital.

They were shot to death by Matthew James Ruth, 24, who died in a bullet-ridden battle with police.
The officers were on a domestic investigation in North Codorus Township, Pennsylvania State Police Col. Christopher Paris said.

Gov. Josh Shapiro has ordered all U.S. and state flags in Pennsylvania to be lowered to half-staff in memory of the slain officers. The flags will remain lowered until the date of interment for the officers, which has not yet been announced.
"Our Commonwealth owes a debt of gratitude to our law enforcement officers and the three who sacrificed their lives today to keep us safe," he stated in a social media post.
Wednesday was the deadliest day for law enforcement officers since 2009, when three Pittsburgh police officers were killed in an ambush in Pittsburgh. Two other officers were injured in that shooting as well.
