5-Year-Old Pittsburgh Homicide Mystery Solved: Police
Police have tracked down a suspect out-of-state in a 2020 Pittsburgh homicide.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Five years after a fatal home invasion incident, Allegheny County police have apprehended a homicide suspect in Mt. Oliver.
With the assistance of the Allegheny County Sheriff’s office, the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force, and the Butts County, GA Sheriff’s office, David Barlow, 28, was taken into custody Wednesday morning in Georgia.
He is facing multiple charges that include criminal homicide, robbery, burglary, and recklessly endangering another person.

At approximately 11:42 pm on December 23, 2020, Mt. Oliver Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Anthony Street for a reported home invasion and shooting. First responders discovered a man, Damon Lincoln, 24, suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. Lincoln was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Mt. Oliver Police requested the assistance of the Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit and detectives initiated an investigation. Through evidence collected at the scene, and additional evidence gathered in recent months, detectives determined that Barlow was responsible for the shooting.
