- The Pittsburgh Tattoo Expo returned for the sixth year in a row. From near and far, thousands of people gathered at the Sheraton Hotel in Station Square to give people tattoos, showcase and sell their artwork, represent their shops, and network with each other. Local and national artists included Christian Buckingham, Joe Capone, Kyle Dunbar, Big Jaz, Rachel Helmich, and Mohawk Jesse of the reality competition show Ink Master. (Point Park Globe)
- The Pittsburgh Glass Center is adding more panes to the tune of $15 million. The expansion project will nearly double its space more than two decades since the center first opened, nearly doubling its space to help build its student and visitor population. The work involves the construction of an addition and a third floor to the center’s existing building at 5472 Penn Ave. (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)
- Here's the full list of Pittsburgh's Lenten fish fries. Lent kicked off on Ash Wednesday, and for the next six weeks, seafood lovers will head to their favorite local fish fry. The Post-Gazette counts at least 80 to choose from at churches, schools, volunteer fire companies, and fraternal and cultural organizations, where volunteers roll will dish out untold quantities of fried and baked fish, pierogies, haluski, and all the other much-loved sides as fundraisers.
