Bankrupt Big Lots Closing Additional PA Stores
Big Lots is closing hundreds of stores across the country. Find out here which Pennsylvania locations will be shuttered.

PENNSYLVANIA — Six Big Lots stores in the state are among the nearly 300 that discount retail chain initially will close after it filed for bankruptcy last week.
Big Lots has hired A&G Real Estate Partners, a New York company, to divest 96 store leases in 37 states from its current 1,300-store portfolio across the country. A&G already has begun the process of auctioning off the leases.
According to A&G, Big Lots will shutter six of the 73 Pennsylvania stores listed on its website. Those closing:

- Pittsburgh: 2820 Gracy Center Way, Coraopolis.
- Philadelphia: 199 Franklin Mills Blvd.
- Exton: 201 West Lincoln Highway.
- Kennett Square: 345 Scarlet Road.
- York: 2980 Whiteford Road.
- Clifton Heights: 713 East Baltimore Ave.
Big Lots said its stores and online shopping site will continue to operate as usual during the bankruptcy proceedings. The retailer expects to be able to continue to honor gift cards and store credit cards.
Along with the bankruptcy filing, Big Lots has entered into an agreement to be acquired by Nexus Capital Management LP, a Los Angeles-based investment firm.
