Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy Reviews 2nd Strip District Pizzeria
Dave Portnoy's One Slice Pizza Reviews offers its opinion on the Strip District's Pizza Davide.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Renowned amateur pizza reviewer Dave Portnoy continues to post videos of his recent trek to Pittsburgh to sample some pies.
After stopping at A Slice of New York in Murrysville and Bella Notte in the Strip District, it was off to Delmont to visit Ianni's. Then it was back to the Strip District to sample the pie at Pizza Davide on Penn Avenue.
Portnoy, the founder of the Barstool Sports media company, can provide a boon to a pizzeria. His One Bite Pizza Reviews channel on YouTube has 1.34 million subscribers; the video of his trip to Pizza Davide, uploaded Tuesday, had more than 174,000 views as of Wednesday afternoon.

It shows Portnoy standing outside the restaurant downing Pizza Davide's New York-style pizza. He was not overly impressed with it.
"I think it's a little bland," he said. "Could use a little more sauce, a little more marinara to give a little more tang to it."

He gave the pie a 7.4 rating on a 1-to-10 scale. Then the Pizza Davide employee said Portnoy was supposed to have tried the Old World-style pizza in which the sauce is placed on top of the cheese.
After a slice was heated up for Portnoy and he began eating it, he said, "I much prefer this. This is a great slice."
Portnoy said he wanted to give the Old World-style an 8.1, but because it was a review re-do he dropped the score to a 7.9
For those keeping score at home, here are the ratings thus far in Portnoy's Pittsburgh pizza tour:
- A Slice of New York: 8.2
- Pizza Davide: 7.9
- Ianni's: 7.7
- Bella Notte: 7.2
